Arrive at Malta International Airport, transfer to Ċirkewwa ferry terminal (approximately 45 minutes), take the 25-minute ferry to Gozo, and transfer to your hotel. After settling in, explore Victoria (Rabat), Gozo’s capital and heart. Climb to the impressive Cittadella, a fortified citadel dating back to medieval times, offering panoramic views over the entire island. Explore the narrow streets, baroque cathedral, museums, and old prison within the walls. Wander through Victoria’s charming streets, visit the local market, and enjoy dinner at a traditional restaurant sampling ġbejniet (Gozitan cheeselets), rabbit stew, and local wines.
Visit the spectacular Dwejra geological park on the west coast, featuring the Inland Sea (a lagoon connected to the Mediterranean by a natural tunnel where small boats offer rides), the dramatic collapsed Azure Window site now a world-class dive location, and the fascinating Fungus Rock. Explore the nearby salt pans at Marsalforn where salt has been harvested for centuries using traditional methods.
